Citynomadi and Turku Capital of Culture 2011 in co-operation
Citynomadi Ltd. has been chosen to Turku 2011 – European Capital of Culture’s mobile guide’s provider. Citynomadi will publish Turku2011 theme routes in Citynomadi’s service concept during the culture capital year.
The thematic routes are downloadable for free on Citynomadi’s web-service. The service allows culture guests and local citizens to explore Turku in a new way with their smartphones. Turku 2011 – European Capital of Culture - routes introduce Turku from different aspects.
During the spring 2011 the service will be available for all major smartphone platforms. More info about the progress is available on the websites of Turku2011 and Citynomadi. The service will be available also in various languages.
In the first step of the launch Citynomadi will provide Central Park of Culture and Exercise routes in Turku. See an example of a route in Finnish on http://www.turku2011.fi/uutiset/turku-palaa-kartalle_fi.
The opening ceremony of Central Park of Culture and Exercise was held February 13th in wintry Turku. The objective of the ceremony was to activate the whole family to exercise together. Turku 2011 Culture routes can be found on Turku2011’s and Citynomadi’s websites.
